First Year Teachers will receive a grant for $100 to get their classrooms ready for student arrival on August 14th.

About the Event
Lufkin Education Foundation recognizes beginning teachers often spend upwards of $200 getting their classrooms ready for students to arrive in August. The Foundation wants to support new teachers coming into the district with zero years experience by giving them a grant to purchase basic supplies and necessary teaching manipulatives. The Lufkin Education Foundation realizes that supporting new teachers allows their students the best opportunity for an excellent educational experience. First Teacher Grants will be awarded on August 7, 2019.
