The Lufkin Education Foundation presented beginning LISD teachers with zero years experience $100 to purchase classroom supplies for the coming year during the New Teacher Luncheon on August 7, 2019.
The Foundation was able to help 34 new teachers thanks to grant money from HEB Tournament of Champions, Lufkin Host Lions Zoo Board, Austin Bank and Wal-Mart.
